The phone mouse

Today as I was trying to use my mouse, I reached for my mobile, which is a similar shape and was lying next to it. This is an example of two devices that would probably be quite easy to integrate into one - for a better mobile life or whatever slogan you prefer.

There are additional benefits, as infra red technology can be used for data transmission, but is also used by IR mice for tracking. I'm not an expert on IR, and the wavelengths involved may well be different, especially as per the standard protocols, but it does strike me as an interesting idea.

One device less in my bag!
